In the fall, migrating birds flock to Kiskunsag, on the Southern Great Plain of Hungary. The fishponds of Lake Feher, near Szeged, and the surrounding fields are filled to the brim by thousands of migrating Cranes, and Greylag, Bean and White-fronted geese. At this, the most sensational time of the year, it is not unusual to see as many as
30-40 thousand birds resting at the fishponds.
The Directorate of the Kiskunsag National Park now invites nature enthusiasts to join one of their
guided tours to the area, and to partake of this wonder.
